Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

Nice friday night decided to go to fridays located across from total wine. Has just got paid and was off. Its a nice spot to hang out with friends or on a cute date. They have a cool deal with a appetizer entree and dessert for like fifteen bucks can't beat that. I had a good frozen drink and the bill was reasonable. Our waiter was nice and helpful. Overall a pleasant experience.

It's good for a chain, consistant food quality and friendly service...plus A/C...ha!

At this Friday's nestled in the Publix shopping center next to Costco in North Miami, Happy Hour is truly a joyous experience. Half-priced Apps from 3 to close, every day and great drink specials. My bill at a recent pitstop: $11.28 for tostada nachos and two pints of Sam Adams! A bright moment amid a tough economy. The nachos were quite tasty, with the right amount of cheese and topped a fresh jalapeno pepper. And the salsa was quite fresh, too. Nice, pleasant atmosphere. Pretty low-key if that's your thing. Overall, a pleasant experience that will put a smile on your face!

Worst service ever... Me and my cousins went to get some dinner and waited 30 minute before we just walked out. They didn't even come take our order.

I really liked the atmosphere and environment of the TGI Fridays. It was nice being able sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. The food was really good and the service was exceptional. For being the servers second day, she did a great job making sure that everything was of the best quality and made sure that everything was to our satisfaction. She did awesome job and I hope that she never loses her enthusiasm.

The food is good but the service SUCKS especially for the night server (Roger) , I was there with my family to have a god time and this server kept forgetting things and when asked for our order gave us lame excuses, i will never go back.

The customer service at this fridays is horrible!!! We had been waiting for the restaraunt to open and when the hostess had unlocked the front door she didnt acknowledge the customers waiting outside for a good 5 minutes. When she did, she didnt seat the people who were waiting longer first. She also had a horrible attitude like she was forced to work today. Bad attitudes when opening will definitely mess up tips for the server, because I know my server will not be getting any.

Sat at the bar...bartender was real sweet and cute, served me up a nice strong LIIT. As I browsed the menu I was startled by the nastiest roach with a huge hatch or whatever you call its reproductive spawns, hanging off its back. Need I say more..

  • Marymarie P.

Zero stars is more like it. The worst service ever! Let's just say we had to walk out before we ever even ordered. The employees were apathetic & did not even want to help us, we had to go around and ask..and one person would tell us to go to the next person...so we left because I was too heated!

  • Sophie D.

Just another Fridays. The food and service is blah.... But if you sit at the bar everything seems to get better! Their happy hour is awesome and they always have a drink special! App are half priced and service is faster. So if your going to fridays make sure it's after 3 and your sitting at the bar!

What is happening to my neighborhood Fridays?!!!!!!! I would visit this Fridays on the regular, about once a week. Now, it is impossible to get seated on a Friday or Saturday night (even though most times you can see there are open tables) the service has been horrible lately also! We sat at the bar and after we had an issue with our food, were completely ignored the rest of the time we spent there. a manager was no where to be bound! I had to almost jump on the bar to get the bartender's attention! it was insane. If you choose to visit please be sure to pack on the patience!

Just got paid it's friday night party hunting feeling alright, booty shaking all all around...my bad this song was stuck in my head. This friday I actually ended up in T.G.I.F.'s and to be honest it wasn't that bad. The vibe in the room was good everyone was in the spirit of the start of the weekend. I order two drinks a strawberry margarita for my girl and I had a diddy-up both was good. Now the food I don't know what made me order the angus burger but man it was tough I never had a burger that hard to chew. I would give this four stars but I need to be honest and the drink, crowd and service was four stars not the food. So will I be back?..yes. But I will not eat?..no just here for the drinks.

Wow... This TGIF must be under new management!!! I haven't been here in months but I must say The service tonight was the best I've ever seen here or any other TGIF and we eat at TGIF'S often. The waiters, manager and wait times were the best I've ever experienced. The manager tonight was great an spoke I is a few times which is rare. I will definitely be frequenting this TGIF instead of the one on Sheridan on University.

I won't really comment on the food here because it's a popular chain, so we all know what they serve. Just know, the food isn't very good which is why this particular location isn't get 5 stars. If this wasn't a chain with barely mediocre food, it would get a much higher rating for the atmosphere. I lived in Tampa for 5 years, and the Fridays that was less than a half a mile from the University never had the kind of crowd and ambiance that this place does. It feels like a neighborhood bar. One of my friends actually used to be a bartender here, and a lot of them do cool flair stuff with the bottles behind the bar. It's fun to watch the tricks. It's also fun to people watch, and there's never a shortage of people. They also have pretty good daily drink specials, and they sometimes do other specials for events. If you want to hang out somewhere locally for a relaxing night with cheap drinks, Fridays is now somewhere that can be added to that list. Skip the food, though.

Came for 10$ unlimited apps. Walked in and asked to be seated by the bar at a high top, the waitress escorted me to a different table. Whatever. The server came right over and took drink order. Couldn't help but hear the people next to me complaining about the food and service but hoped my experience would be better... It wasn't. Server is terrible. Took forever to get drinks that we ordered (2 beers) and the unlimited apps were coming out so freaking slow. I asked for celery and not only did it take 15 plus minutes to receive, all she gave me was 2 sticks. The manager, who seems to be lost out of his mind, is worthless. He's walked passed 3 dirty tables and not once picked up a dirty plate or came to our the table to ask how everything is. There are 3 hostesses sitting at the front gossiping rather than helping with floor presentation. Our server just spilled the drink at the table next to us. I would fire everyone who worked here. You would think for a corporate ran business things wouldn't be this horrible, but when the management isn't up to par, you can't expect anything else to be. On the bright side.. The Onion Soup Dumplings are amazing!!

Worst service ever! We ordered food had incorrect food come out and then when the entrees arrived they were missing food which came out when we were finished and was not cooked properly The new manager apologized and offered us dessert considering the garbage we were just served you really think I'm going to want to try anything else you have to offer. Save yourself the disgusting experience!* I've had no issues at any other franchise location. Very disappointed.

Went there on a Friday afternoon. First we ordered wings. They came out dry and overcooked and chewy and hard. We told our server and he said they cook them for two hours beforehand and then fry them before being served. We sent them back. I ordered a Cobb salad. We were shocked that they served it with a black avocado. Seriously. I pointed that out to the server and then he brought some avocado that wasn't black. We went because we had a BOGO entree coupon a friend gave me. We won't be back.

The hostesses were very friendly, but I told them I wanted to sit at the bar since I was dining alone. Once I arrived at the bar it took awhile to get attention from the bartenders. Service was "so so" depending on the bartender. Some were friendly and others were not. Food was ok and service "ok" if I average out the different bartenders. Definitely average. Certainly nothing special.

My husband and I came here on vacation and it was a breeze. There was no line and we got seated right away. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Food was great and drinks were awesome. They have special drinks each day of the week. The appletini on Wednesdays are delish.

Ordered a caramel cake to go and when I opened it I could not tell what I was looking at. A pile of garbage? Or my cake had been through war? Also, ordered another item that brought an ingredient I stressed I wanted removed. Overall, probably the worse fridays I have been to.

Called in to pick up food. Order was wrong, bad service no receipt made us spend 20 mins. Manager on duty not helpful, very dismissive. They got the order wrong four times There servers even admit their stoned. Wtf. And never even got my points for my order

Our experience was excellent! The staff was friendly and courteous. Jason , our waiter, was so efficient and checked on us several times. The food was delicious and served promptly. We had Sizzling Chicken with Shrimp and Wings with wedge salad. We liked the atmosphere and decor. We Wil be going back.

Very good, the costumer service is awesome, Bryanna was great, I had the ribs and the sirloin and it was to die for the meat was literally falling off the bones, the dj with his live music was defined a plus.

We came in this place and it smelt like old bar or dirty carpet I wanted to turn around and go somewhere else , but we didn't we ordered drinks sodas and a mojito witch took line 20 mins to come out but well worth the wait . It was made perfect all the food was great all made as ordered , and was surprisingly delicious... Tim our server was top notch I had never thought about Friday's as a place to come get good food , I was so wrong and we all agree we will come back again to spit the bar wait and the smell .... It's the food and service that counts

Decided to come in for endless apps tonight. Pretty excited about the options to choose from but seems like every time we dine here the service is uber slow and tonight is not an exception. First round of apps was excellent, second not so much. WTF fried potato skins? Aren't they supposed to be baked..? And aren't tostadas supposed to be hot or at least warm? They weren't even spicy.. I wasn't expecting a chip with a cold piece of chicken on it. I get that they might be trying to rush the food out but it's not like we received the food quickly anyway. I was hoping to get the endless apps back to back but with about 15-20 mins between dishes it was more like endless waiting. Stick to the pot stickers and boneless wings, those were perfect. The bruschetta was ok I guess as well as the mozzarella sticks. Didn't try the flatbread. After 5 dishes we were stuffed. MESSAGE TO THE MANAGER: GET MORE STAFF!

Went to Friday's for dinner tonight with the gang. Great deal on yummy ribs. I had the jack Daniels ribs, the Memphis rub, and the chipotle. Came with 2 yummy sides classic Mac and cheese and steak fries. Doesn't get much better than that. Oh did I forget to mention it was all for $10. Take about the college budget steal. I love this place. "In here it's always Friday."

  • Rob G.

I have to give this place 2 stars, simply because the service was horrible. Our waitress was nice (after we finally met her), but overall the wait time was just pathetic. It wasn't that crowed. 27 mins from check-in (sit/down) to getting water. Kids meals came and our appetizers came out as well. Our dinners didn't come out for over 1 hour. FWIW, the food was good, tasty, pretty much everything you would expect from Fridays, but I will have second thoughts about coming to this location again (unfortunately). It wasn't even that busy, and Im pretty sure the Manager was the one that ran our food out from the kitchen. He was pretty embarrassed on how long it took. Food - 3.5 stars Service - minus 1.5

    (2)
  • Orchid G.

Service is horrible forever waiting to order. The waitress's came by at the beginning and then never came back. We had to keep looking for her and then she kept telling us she'll be right back.

    (1)
  • Krys L.

Every time I go it takes so long for everything. Even if there is only 5 people in the restaurant. Order of cheese sticks came out with no cheese in it and when we ordered another one it was the same thing... Fried cheese with no cheese lol. I love Fridays, but this place honestly sucks. Boyfriend ordered a Budweiser and they brought a blue moon. When he told the server, the guy argued with him saying it was in fact a Budweiser. He brought out a bud light saying that the Budweiser was "coming out weird"... Just so he didn't look stupid for bringing out the wrong beer and then arguing with us... Will never be back.

    (1)
  • Chris C.

The beers took a lil while to get even though the restaurant was slow. The full rack of ribs that i ordered were okay but the meat didnt come off too easily. Seemed like they were cooked a little fast. The cherry coke was great and i had a good time .

When I first started going to Friday's in Biscayne Commons with my wife a couple of years ago it was a pleasant experience, ( I had just moved to Miami ). Lately, it has been terrible and I doubt if I will return. The drinks that we ordered were obviously made by someone that didn't know what the were doing, and the food was terrible. Our waitress had the personality of a doorknob, and the others did more talking in a group than focusing on customer service. Maybe there should be a change in management.

    (1)
  • Olga A.

Just don't. You'll thank me later. My party of two (my sister and I) waited an hour to be seated in a Friday's that had plenty of empty seats. Secondly, the food took forever and a day and when it finally arrived was cold, greasy, and very bland. Horrible just horrible. Our waitress was nice and that was the only plus side. If you do decide to come here for some very perplexing reason ask for Brunilda aka Brunny. Sweet girl horrible establishment.

Guys date:Moderate food. I would not order the mozzarella sticks at all. The service is not very good waited very long amounts of time for simple things like getting the check. The restaurant is very nice though. just the customer service is not very good at all. Guy:My date threw up the mozzarella sticks,I don't know if it was a bad batch or what, but it wasn't very good. Service was okay from my perspective but could have been better.

I agree with Leo the service really sucks the beers took about 25 minutes the appetizers 45 mins and the server didn't even bother to ask us for dessert never coming and if you see this review go somewhere else

    (1)
  • Maurice G.

The service is terrible. We sat down for 30 minutes before some one even said hello. The wait time for everything was way too long. The food was less than average. The loaded potato skins were fried with the minimal amount of ingredients. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!

    (2)
  • Carlos R.

I give it two stars because I like the food, other than that the service is horrible and slow I offered a main dish and my friend ordered an appetizer my dish came first and i finished my meal and his appetizer came 20 minutes later, I had to keeps asking for drinks because there's only one guy working at the bar. I felt bad for him must of been a lot of pressure this is the last time I eat there. Next time I will order to go.

    (2)
  • Nicole O.

I wish I could give it one star. I went with my two small children, the host sat us in a table in which I had asked for a high chair and never received. I was carrying my two year old waiting for the high chair for 15 minutes where no one approached the table, the the host came back and said "if you sit over there it will be faster" I picked up the menus and my kids and moved to the other table where we waited another 15 minutes and no one even came to see us. We walked out and left and I'm sure no one even realized it. HORRIBLE SERVICE!

  • Chiquilla G.

Wow I tho I should give this place a chance since I read so many bad shit about it but omg the worse idea I ever had. I have to agree with every single complain you all wrote. Stay away is a waste of time and money the food sucks and it was cold.

I had lunch with a friend at TGI Friday's in October, which was about three weeks ago. The whole experience was average at best. This was my second time at this particular location, the other time I went to happy hour after a class at FIU. For happy hour I had a decent time because the drinks were relatively inexpensive, even though the service was just okay. Now regarding lunch I felt the food and experience was average. After the hostess greats us I ask for a table with chairs and not a booth. She said that was no problem, especially since the restaurant was not full. Well she walks us to a half booth/ table with a chair. Now this probably was the most uncomfortable table I've attempted to sit at in a long time. I then see a waitress walk by and ask if I can be moved to a table with chairs and this is no problem at all. Once seated at the new table service moved quickly for drinks and taking food orders, after this though everything was slow. It took over 20 minutes to receive the entrees, which was surprising since the restaurant was not busy. Once we finally receive the food it took around 10 minutes for the waitress come by to see if everything was okay. After that it took around another 20 minutes to finally receive the bill. Overall the service turned out to be slow for a restaurant with only a couple people per section.

  • Gilbert C.

This place i would have thought the service would have been alot better since its a franchise place i guess wrong. We ordered our food and it took nearly 30-40 mins to come out at least for the most part it was hot. Then when we ordered a burger togo it took nearly 20 mins to get it. I will not be coming here again takes too long to get something to eat..

    (2)
  • Adrika D.

I usually come here on a regular basis, but now I probably won't. I ordered a $24 meal and the waiter charged me $48!!! We explained the bill to him and he went to fix it and ended up making another charge of $38!!! I was so frustrated. 2 to 3 days now and my money hasn't been refunded. We were waiting with to have our bill fixed with the other troubled customers who he made mistakes with!!!

  • Tricia S.

I have tried this place several times over the past year and the service is always terrible. Every part of my order always gets messed up. The servers are so slow and do not really care about service. I am giving up on this location. It is just too frustrating. I went last night with my husband...we waited an hour and a half (I just ordered a salad!)...it was completely messed up. We won't go back again!

    (1)
  • Natasha P.

Service was pretty average here. Sat at the bar and bartender didn't take my brothers drink order correctly and argue with us saying we didn't tell the flavor we wanted. The worst part was this was a refill from previous drink. I do like atmosphere and the style of this TGIF.

After completing a gruelling 8 mile 20+ obstacle SPARTAN RACE with my son, all I wanted was a big greasy bacon and cheese filled burger and TGI Friday's was less than 10 minutes away. The wait wasn't too long for a Sunday to be seated, but the service took an extended period of time. My son watched as two couples actually left, while waiting to be addressed by wait staff. But we were just enjoying the air conditioning and the luxury of being able to sit down. TGI Friday's has a pretty good selection of burgers and from previous visits, I can tell you, you can substitute a turkey burger, instead of ground beef. But today was not that day. My biggest decision was which burger I was going to order or would I take advantage of the several specials that they offer. Well my son ordered the shrimp and fries with an appetizer of Mozzarella Sticks for $10. That doesn't come as any surprise, but for $10 that was a really good deal. I had been eyeing their All American Burger, but ended up settling on the 2 for $10 deal. I ordered the Spinach Flatbread... (EXCELLENT) or maybe I was just starving...and the Jack Daniels burger (only available for a limited time); accompanied with a glass of Red Wine. TGI Friday's gives you several options when ordering wine. You can choose the 6, or 9 oz or the bottle. Everything arrived pretty quickly. The burger was average, but a great value for the buck. They gave my son a really nice portion of shrimp and fries. So all in all no complaints. I did notice that TGI Friday's has some really great Values everyday, especially drink specials. Check them out online and see, if you find one for you....... Don't be surprised if you see me on the $3 drink night on Thursdays......

Takeout service REALLY sucks. Do I really have to ask you for a fork. If I getting my food to go obviously I'm gonna need something to eat it with. Anyhow the Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta is the BEST thing on the menu..

So we get to this Fridays and it's total chaos me and my girl got a ridiculous greeting from the greeter who made us feel like she didn't even want us to be there like I've never seen so much attitude for no reason... Strike 1, we decided to sit outside and it took her forever to come clean the table off mind you the restaurant is at like 35 % capacity, her and a couple waiters were disagreeing over who's turn it was to get our table meanwhile... Strike 2, finally we waited about 10 minutes after someone took our drink orders and no service. I might as well have gone to a mcdonalds in the hood lol. They need bar rescue.

Let's be honest--I'm not a fan of chain restaurants. Requiring people to wear "pieces of flair" and obligating them to be perky, cheery, and bubbly causes me to lose my appetite. Furthermore, when you create a menu that is identical throughout the entire North American continent, what you end up with is "vanilla ice cream syndrome." It isn't the best, it's just what most people can agree upon. There's no thought for what's in season or what's reflective of the cultural culinary landscape in the area. You get what's cheap in bulk and consistently available everywhere. Great business model; mediocre eating experience. That said, this Fridays has a comfy bar atmosphere. There are lots of TVs for watching sports and some booths on one side with a little privacy. The bar stools are comfortable and service is quick. The crowd is very college-kid. This is an okay place to go to watch a game. The food, though cheap, is blah.

This chain restaurant has been consistent with their quality of food, great cocktail menu at very reasonable prices, and service is usually pretty good. I stopped in to this location by myself which I do not do very often. I had some time to kill waiting for my nail appointment . I sat at the bar and got taken care of right away from a friendly bartender. I ordered their berry margarita on the rocks, oh man it's huge, strong, just the right amount of fruit verses tequila, absolutely love it for $8 I believe. The cocktail prices are so reasonable and most drinks are a very good size. I also ordered the spinach dip which came with warm tortilla chips. It was good just a bit to much artichoke for me. Every location has a nice size bar area with many TVs to watch games. It reminds me of a neighborhood bar where it is comfortable to sit and hang out even by yourself. I loved my margarita so much I had to order another. I so enjoyed my peaceful hour or so by myself here. Great service, good food, reasonable prices, just a cool chill place.

A great place to go and pre game. Sit at the bar and ask for dale or Tasha. They will take care or you. Best bartenders by far. The food is always good no complaints.

Ok came for lunch and the hostess was just not happy to be here .. We sat down at a booth she comes over and we had to tell her to clean table b4 she put the napkins and menu down . So she grabs a paper napkin and whips the table with no disinfectant ..Not one smile yet . Like she didn't want to be here . Server Zo is cool laid back and doing his job . Good guy .. The place looks great .. The face lift from the old thrift store junk looks so much better ..

*Sighs* Alright lets get to it. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and our waitress was nice. We all ordered and waited for our food. Yet the problem was this: We all didn't get our food at the same time so it was awkward to eat when the other person didn't have any food yet. Plus it took us forever to get our waitress attention to give us refills. The appetizers were very small too..I'm usually not the one to complain about portions but I've been to other Fridays and they gave more spinach dip than this one. So the service is horrible. Their nice but the service needs some work. Desert was small too. We ordered the brownie obsession which was more like the brownie depression. Hardly any brownie or ice cream and the fudge..where was the fudge? So I will not be coming back here.. not because of the food being terrible, because it wasn't terrible. It's the fact that the portions were rather small and the wait to get our food was long too.

Every time I go there .. I'm like " this time the food is going to be good" uhhhh not!! Disappointed every time! I wouldn't recommend! Not even the dessert is good! I had a simple vanilla bean cheesecake very disappointed! It was so frozen! Cheesecake should be soft but to soft!

Slooooooooooooooow for lunch. 40 minutes after we ordered the food came. Service was good, Lisa was nice. Kitchen was slow, I felt bad for our server, she checked with us often. The food looked just like the pictures. Bonus. Tasted like the paper the pictures were printed on too. Not really, the food wasn't too bad. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which would be far tastier with some slaw on it. Mostly the food was what you'd expect from TGIFs. Would have given three stars but slow kitchen, took a star off.

Went for dinner on Saturday night. Brighter and much nicer since recent interior renovation. We sat in comfortable half booths in the bar area by choice. Jack Daniels baby back ribs were delicious and truly fall-off-the-bone, ginger lime cole slaw was also delicious. Sirloin, however, was flavorful but a bit chewy. Service efficient and professional. Bar staff could use a bit more training in the common sense dept. Tossing napkins back and forth at a waitress at one end of the bar is not cool, especially with folks sitting at the bar and others watching. Manager did come by to check on us but she missed the napkin tossing. Overall, a surprisingly pleasant experience.

I love the happy hour here the mixed drinks are always tasty. The bartenders are nice and friendly. Happy Hour here is 7 days a week from 3-7 then 9pm to Close in the bar area $2 wells, $4 wines, mojitos, & long islands along with some other drinks & beer specials 50% off most appetizers including the Traditional Buffalo Wings which I crave for! For food I like the Flat Iron Steak with sweet potatoe fries and broccoli, cajun shrimp & chicken pasta (let them know no additional oil), dragon fire chicken & salmon are a okay.

When it comes to service this place SUCKS They messed up on our food didn't apologize or try to fix it and then the food literally takes like an hour to come out. I barely go I only go when in being dragged in for a friends birthday.

Never coming back. First I would like to say that after looking up the calories in every meal I was completely upset I didn't realize how bad this food was. The wait was pretty decent for being a Friday night. The staff was not really professional or attentive. Didn't have any utensils had to ask to get them after receiving my food. My server even used profanity in front of the children I was with. Will never go back . The food was full of grease and was soggy not good at all.

I've been to this location twice. The service here is subpar. Tables would go an hour without being cleaned from the previous customers. Food can take a while, along the lines of half an hour. Don't count on getting a refill on your drink. The food is equal to other TGI Friday's locations.

About TGI Friday

TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The restaurant serves alcoholic beverages primarily. However, they are also known for their low-carbohydrate and low-fat menu items to promote a healthy lifestyle. TGI Friday also offers gluten-free items on its menu for those with gluten intolerance.

Besides the cool name, TGI Friday also has an interesting background story of its origin. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.
